Sometimes, you want to have a quiet night at home with a
movie or a book. But that doesn’t mean you have to eat plain old popcorn or
maybe a piece of celery dipped in peanut butter. Nope. Go ahead and make up
this little treat and feel spoiled and pampered.
¼ cup vegan sour cream
¼ cup vegan mayonnaise
2 TBLSP finely chopped cilantro (you can use parsley if
you’re cilantro-averse)
2 TBLSP finely chopped green onion
½ lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Hefty pinch of celery salt
½ teaspoon grated yellow onion (or diced tiny)
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
- Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
- Doubles well.
Variations:
- Add roasted garlic if you want the dip to bite back a bit.
- Add chili flakes or sliced fresh spicy peppers for zing. (I’m allergic, so you’ll have to tell me if that’s good.)
